Supporting the ODF Program, PT Timah Tbk Builds 21 Toliet Units and Trash Cans for Belitung Regency Residents

BELITUNG - The health sector is one of PT Timah Tbk's focuses in implementing the Company's Social Responsibility (TJSL) program. In its implementation, PT Timah Tbk adapted the concept of sustainable development goals (SDG).

There are eleven strategic programs of PT Timah Tbk, ten of which are designed to be involved in the implementation and achievement of the TPB.

In the Health sector, the company's commitment includes improving access and quality of public health services as well as improving sanitation and sanitation in community settlements.

One form of sanitation improvement carried out by PT Timah Tbk is by helping build toilets and rubbish bins in the Belitung Regency.

This member of the MIND ID mining industry holding company made 21 toilet units and rubbish bins. These include 16 toilet units and rubbish bins in Badau Village and five toilet units and rubbish bins in Cerucuk Village.

This program is PT Timah Tbk's support in accelerating the program Open Defecation Free (ODF) is one of the programs for a healthy society.

The Head of Badau Village, Irawan Sumantri appreciated the support for accelerating the ODF program by PT Timah Tbk. He hopes that PT Timah Tbk will continue to provide program support through CSR to Badau Village.

"Hopefully PT Timah Tbk will continue to help through its CSR both in Badau Village and other villages," he said.

According to him, the residents who received toilet assistance previously did not have toilets, so the Badau Village Government collaborated with PT Timah Tbk to help encourage this.

"So far we have been regularly communicating with PT Timah Tbk, due to limited funds, we are collaborating with PT Timah Tbk. With this assistance, PT Timah Tbk supports the acceleration of the ODF program in Badau Village," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Cerucuk Village, Kusmadi, appreciated the toilet assistance, because this assistance was really needed to support the ODF acceleration program.

According to him, previously the five residents did not have toilets, so this time they received assistance from PT Timah Tbk.

"So there are 5 assistants from WC residents, and all the others are there. Hopefully, PT Timah Tbk will continue to prosper and progress," he said. (*)
