Supporting the Government's Program to Handle Stunting, PT Timah Intensively Educates the Community About Stunting and Provides Supplemental Food

PANGKALPINANG -- To support government programs in handling stunting in Indonesia, PT Timah Tbk through its CSR provides education and socialization of stunting handling for communities in the company's operational areas.

This education and socialization were carried out in conjunction with PT Timah Tbk's Health Car service which was held in villages in the Company's Operational Areas.

Apart from providing education and outreach about stunting management, this MIND ID Mining Industry Holding member also provides additional food packages for children who are detected as suffering from stunting.

Through education and outreach that is carried out on an ongoing basis, it is hoped that it can increase people's understanding of stunting so that it can prevent children from being stunted.

In providing education about handling stunting and providing health services through the Healthy Car, PT Timah Tbk is working with the Village Government.

"PT Timah Tbk is committed to supporting the Government's program in dealing with stunting. So the company takes a role by educating and socializing about stunting to the community in the company's operational areas," said Head of Corporate Communications of PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan.

Anggi said that improving the quality of public health is a form of the Company's responsibility to the community. So the company is aggressively providing free health services.

"The health services provided by PT Timah Tbk include presenting Health Cars to villages to bring health services closer to the community," he said.

One of the parents receiving education and stunting assistance from PT Timah Tbk in Baru Village, East Belitung Regency, Khusnia hopes that PT Timah Tbk can continue to help monitor their child's development.
