Supporting the Development of Water Duck Tourism in Gemuruh Village, PT Timah Region Kundur Hands Over Assistance for Pier Construction
WEST KUNDUR -- To support the development of Bebek Air tourism in Gemuruh Village, West Kundur District, Karimun Regency, PT Timah provided assistance for the construction of the Bebek Air tourist pier.
PT Timah, through the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program, continues to strive to support the Village's potential to drive the community's economy.
Assistance for the construction of a water duck tourist pier was handed over by TJSL Coordinator Eka Budhy Susanto and received by the Secretary of Gemuruh Riduan Village, Thursday (12/9/2024).
It is hoped that this assistance can stimulate water duck tourism in the area. So it can have an economic impact on society.
Sumardi, one of the residents at the water duck location, said he was very happy with the assistance from PT Timah.
"Of course, we, the people around Kolong Bebek, are happy that PT Timah pays attention to the activities carried out by the community, so that what we do can run smoothly," he said.
He hopes that in the future, the construction of the pier will be completed quickly and can be used. So that this water duck tourism can develop and become one of the tourist icons in Gemuruh Village.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Gemuruh Riduan Village appreciated PT Timah's concern for helping the community in their village.
"Thank you for the attention you continue to give us. Hopefully PT Timah can progress and continue to develop, so that it can continue to contribute to supporting the progress of community development and Gemuruh Village," he said. (*)
