PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah continues to be committed to carrying out environmental social responsibility and care for the community in various aspects, one of which is the religious field.
In the religious aspect, one of the concrete forms of support carried out by PT Timah is through assistance for houses of worship spread across the company's operational areas.
In recent months, PT Timah has distributed assistance to a number of houses of worship such as mosques. This assistance includes building renovations, provision of worship facilities and infrastructure, and improvement of other supporting facilities to improve comfort for worshipers.
During this Ramadan, PT Timah is also aggressively providing assistance to mosques and musala. This is a form of company concern for the community around the mine.
One of the houses of worship that received assistance from PT Timah, namely the East Belitung Al Falah Musala Management, Junaidi, said that the assistance from PT Timah would be used to repair several musala facilities.
“Alhamdullilah, today on behalf of the members of the Al Falah Mosque Prosperity Board (BKM), I am very grateful for the assistance from PT Timah. This assistance is planned to be used to repair loudspeakers and also replace some mosque carpets,” said Junaidi.
According to him, PT Timah is active in helping various activities in their mosque. He also hopes that PT Timah can continue to contribute to the community.
“This is not the first time PT Timah has helped us, Alhamdullilah PT Timah has often helped us, such as on Eid al-Adha, PT Timah often distributes sacrificial animals to our mosque and we distribute them to the community around our mosque,” he said.
Assistance for houses of worship was also handed over to mosques in Riau Islands Province, including for the Tahfizul Quran Al Kausar Islamic Boarding School in Gemuruh Village, West Kundur District.
The administrator of Pesantren Tahfizul Quran Al Kausar, Maulana Febriansah, was grateful and appreciated PT Timah for helping renovate their musala.
“Thank you to PT Timah for giving us a lot of attention and assistance. We always pray for blessings, progress, safety and success for PT Timah. God willing, these funds will be used to renovate the musala of the Tahfizul Quran Al Kausar Islamic boarding school,” he said. (*)
