BANGKA – In support of religious education, PT Timah has provided assistance for the construction of facilities and infrastructure at Ma’had Tahfizul Quran Daarul Iman Islamic Boarding School in Kimak Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency, last Friday.
Ma’had Tahfizul Quran Daarul Iman serves as a center for Islamic studies and a learning place for Quran memorization students at the junior and senior high school levels. The institution adopts a boarding system, allowing students to focus more on their studies.
The head of Ma’had Tahfizul Quran Daarul Iman, Ust. M. Gofi Kurniawan, Lc, expressed his appreciation to PT Timah for its support in nurturing the younger generation of Islamic scholars in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
"Thank you, PT Timah, for your assistance to our foundation. We will use this support as intended to enhance the comfort of our students in their learning environment," he said.
He explained that the assistance from PT Timah would be used to construct additional learning facilities for the students.
"Alhamdulillah, in 2024, we received support from PT Timah, and the funds have been allocated for the construction of a two-story learning facility. Currently, we are in the process of building four new classrooms," he elaborated.
According to him, the aid from PT Timah is crucial for expanding educational facilities at the boarding school.
"Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude to PT Timah for helping us build additional classrooms, which, as we saw earlier, are already under construction in the back area," he said.
He also prayed for PT Timah’s continued success in the Bangka Belitung region.
"As the management of Daarul Iman Islamic Boarding School, we sincerely pray for PT Timah’s continued existence in Bangka Belitung. May the company grow even more, achieve greater success, and may all its staff be blessed with good health," he added.
Gofi further emphasized that similar financial aid for infrastructure development is highly needed by other educational institutions and can serve as a form of lasting charity (amal jariyah) for PT Timah.
"May the assistance PT Timah has provided to our boarding school be counted as a lasting charity in the sight of Allah, and we hope such support continues for other educational institutions across Bangka Belitung," he concluded. (*)
