PANGKALPINANG - Through the Micro Small Business Funding (PUMK) program, PT Timah consistently supports the development and capacity building of MSME players in the company's operational areas.
PT Timah's PUMK program, which has been started since 2000, has benefited more than 9000 MSME players spread across various provinces in Indonesia.
In 2024, PT Timah disbursed PUMK funds amounting to IDR 10 billion for 194 MSME players.
This capital support aims to accelerate local economic growth, create jobs, and improve the welfare of the community around the company's operational areas.
In addition, access to capital for MSMEs in the form of loans aims to help MSMEs increase production capacity, expand markets, and create new product innovations.
MSME players who become PT Timah's fostered partners are engaged in various sectors such as services, plantations, agriculture, fisheries, creative industries, crafts, culinary, and others.
“MSMEs are the backbone of the regional economy. Through this program, the Company wants to help MSMEs upgrade and expand their market reach. That way, the positive impact will be felt more broadly by the community,” said PT Timah Corporate Communication Department Head Anggi Siahaan.
In addition to capital, in order to increase competitiveness, PT Timah regularly holds training and workshops for MSME players. This training includes financial management and digital marketing.
“The most effective way to support MSMEs is through capacity building. For this reason, PT Timah often provides training that can help them overcome the growing business challenges,” Anggi added.
The MIND ID Mining Industry holding member also plays an active role in facilitating the promotion of MSME products by including them in various local and national exhibitions. Encouraging fostered partners to utilize digital platforms in marketing products.
In terms of promotion and marketing, PT Timah also facilitates fostered partners to market their products in the galleries provided such as the TINS Gallery and Rumah BUMN Belitung.
