BANGKA - To support the development of MSMEs in the Company's operational areas, PT Timah presents an MSME Center in the Fisherman II Neighborhood, Sungailiat Village, Bangka Regency.
This MSME center was inaugurated directly by Pj. Regent of Bangka, Isnaini. This activity was also attended by Sungailiat Village Head, Farid Anshary, Head of CSR Division of PT TIMAH Tbk, Rahmat Taufik, as well as representatives of Sungailiat Sub-district Welfare and community leaders on Wednesday (26/2/2025).
PT Timah's efforts in supporting the development of MSMEs are also in line with President Prabowo Subianto's Asta Cita, namely increasing quality employment, encouraging entrepreneurship, developing creative industries, and continuing infrastructure development.
In addition, the empowerment of local MSMEs implemented by PT Timah is also in line with President Prabowo's Asta Cita to build from the village and from below for economic equality and poverty eradication.
The presence of the MSME Center in Sungailiat's Fisherman II Neighborhood is part of the company's commitment to boost the community's economy, support the marketing of UKMK products and increase the attractiveness of the tourism sector in this area.
PT Timah handed over 10 UMKM booths to support the UMKM Center. With this booth, it is hoped that it can make it easier for MSMEs to market their products.
Bangka District Regent, Isnaini, appreciated PT Timah Tbk's initiative in developing MSMEs in collaboration with the local government.
“We welcome and appreciate this collaboration in encouraging the growth of MSMEs. With continued support, we hope that MSMEs in Bangka can have a greater economic impact on society,” she said.
He also emphasized the importance of synergy between the government, private sector, and the community in building an ecosystem that supports MSMEs, including the use of digitalization in marketing and product development.
PT Timah Corporate Communication Department Head Anggi Siahaan said that PT Timah continues to be committed to carrying out social responsibility through various programs including the development of MSMEs in order to support the community's economy.
“With this MSME Center, it is hoped that it can encourage the community's economy, and the company continues to collaborate with the Regional Government to present programs that provide direct benefits to the community,” he said.
The inauguration of the MSME Center is expected to encourage local business growth, increase competitiveness, and contribute to the economy of Bangka Regency. (*)
