TANJUNG BERLIAN -- To support independence and broaden the knowledge of students at the Darul Qur'an Tanjung Berlian Islamic Boarding School, North Kundur District, PT Timah handed over Hydroponic equipment, on Saturday 15 June 2024.
Apart from that, it is hoped that assistance with hydroponic farming equipment from PT Timah can increase food security at the Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School.
The students are also trained in hydroponic farming so that later they can add new insights to the students.
The caretaker of the Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, Mukhrizal, expressed his appreciation to PT Timah for the assistance with this hydroponic equipment. He hopes that with this assistance they will be self-sufficient in vegetables, which of course will be healthier because they grow and care for themselves.
"With the help of this hydroponic equipment, I want to educate the students to have a greater sense of responsibility, where in the future we will see how they care for what has been entrusted to them," he said.
Apart from providing hydroponic equipment, PT Timah Region Kundur also provides training for students by bringing in resource persons
from the Karimun Regency Agriculture Service. (*)
