BANGKA TENGAH – PT Timah Tbk has long demonstrated its commitment to supporting education through various initiatives to enhance the learning environment in its operational areas.
Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, PT Timah has implemented numerous educational projects, including scholarships, school infrastructure support, and more.
Recently, PT Timah donated a laptop to TK Pelangi in Baskara Bakti Village, Namang Subdistrict, Central Bangka Regency, on Monday (December 9, 2024).
The laptop donation is intended to enhance the learning facilities at TK Pelangi. Marlinda, the head of TK Pelangi, enthusiastically received the laptop from a member of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding.
"Thank you for this donation. We will use it for teaching and learning activities and administrative purposes in our kindergarten," said Marlinda.
Looking ahead, she expressed hope that TK Pelangi could have its classroom facilities. Since 2010, the school has been using a classroom belonging to the TPA (Childcare Center) in Baskara Bakti Village for its learning activities.
"We hope PT Timah continues to grow and succeed so it can keep contributing to the community," she added. (*)
