BANGKA – PT TIMAH Tbk has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting education and character development of the younger generation by contributing to the construction of a mosque at the Tahfizh Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, Madinatunnajah, under the Khodijah Center Madani Foundation in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
This assistance is part of the company's efforts to strengthen spiritual values while supporting the teaching and learning activities of the students (santri).
The mosque's construction is expected to serve not only as a place of worship but also as a center for character education and moral development for female students (santriwati).
This support aligns with PT TIMAH Tbk’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment in the fields of social welfare and religion.
Chairperson of the Khodijah Center Madani Foundation, Samiah, stated that this is the second time PT TIMAH Tbk has supported their Islamic boarding school. The company had previously assisted in the construction of the pesantren itself.

She explained that construction of the mosque began back in 2024 but remains incomplete due to financial constraints. The mosque is intended not only for religious worship but also to be used for student learning activities and religious programs.
Currently, Samiah noted, there are 73 students studying at the pesantren, and in the afternoons, about 100 children attend Qur’an lessons.
“There are 73 female students and around 100 children enrolled in the Quranic learning program (TPQ). Our small prayer room can no longer accommodate them all. The children are studying even out on the terrace. After receiving a piece of waqf land next to our site, we began constructing the mosque, which is still incomplete,” she said.
She expressed appreciation for PT TIMAH Tbk’s support and concern for education. She hopes the company continues to thrive and contribute to the education sector.
