BANGKA TENGAH -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues its commitment to supporting education, including early childhood education institutions.
This time, PT TIMAH provided assistance in the form of playground facilities for Nusa Indah Kindergarten/PAUD in Cambai Selatan Village, Central Bangka Regency, on Tuesday (April 28, 2026).
The company donated outdoor play equipment such as slides and swings, which are essential to support learning activities and children’s motor skill development.
The Head of Nusa Indah Kindergarten/PAUD, Ciciyanti, expressed her gratitude for the assistance provided by PT TIMAH. She explained that many of the existing playground facilities were already damaged and no longer safe to use, even posing risks to the children.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very grateful to PT TIMAH. We truly needed outdoor play equipment like slides and swings, as the old ones were already damaged and unsafe,” she said.
She added that the school had previously applied for assistance, but not all needs could be fulfilled. Limited funding had also made it difficult to procure new facilities.
“So far, we have relied on the existing facilities due to budget constraints. This assistance means a lot to us and to the children,” she added.
Currently, Nusa Indah Kindergarten/PAUD has a total of 68 students, consisting of 50 kindergarten students and 18 early childhood education (PAUD) students. The institution has also graduated hundreds of alumni and is supported by five teachers.
Ciciyanti emphasized that playground facilities play a crucial role in supporting children’s gross motor development while also creating a fun learning environment.
“These outdoor games really help children learn while playing. This is important for their development,” she explained.
She hopes that PT TIMAH will continue to grow and sustain its contributions in supporting communities, particularly in the education sector.
