PANGKALPINANG -- To support the social and religious life of the community, PT Timah has provided assistance to religious facilities located in the company’s operational areas.
The support provided by PT Timah to various interfaith religious facilities is part of the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
The assistance includes building renovations, the provision of religious equipment, and the improvement of public amenities such as ablution areas, lighting, and sanitation.
In 2024, PT Timah has extended aid to dozens of religious facilities, including many mosques.
In addition to mosques, PT Timah also provided similar assistance to churches, temples, and shrines. This reflects the company’s commitment to upholding values of tolerance, unity, and interfaith harmony.
PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that religious facilities play a vital role as centers of both spiritual and social activity in communities.
“Through support for religious facilities, the company hopes to help communities practice their faith more comfortably and to strengthen harmonious relationships among residents,” said Anggi.
Assisting religious facilities is a regular agenda for PT Timah and has been carried out annually as a contribution to inclusive social development.
In addition, the company actively supports local religious and social events, especially during major religious holidays.
Going forward, the company aims to expand the reach of this program so that even more religious facilities receive support, fostering a peaceful, tolerant, and prosperous social environment.
