KARIMUN -- To help meet the food needs of local residents, PT Timah distributed dozens of basic grocery packages to coastal communities in Teluk Dalam, Kundur Village, Karimun Regency.
The grocery packages were handed out at the As-Syakirin prayer house in Teluk Dalam and were directly received by the beneficiaries, most of whom were elderly, on Wednesday (July 23, 2025).
This distribution activity aligns with the company’s 49th anniversary social initiatives under the theme “For the Red and White.” Leading up to its anniversary on August 2, PT Timah has organized various social programs, including blood donations, free medical checkups, and mass circumcision events.
The grocery assistance aims to help fulfill the food needs of the community, particularly vulnerable groups affected by socio-economic conditions. The packages contain essential daily staples such as rice and other food items.
One of the beneficiaries, M. Arif, expressed his appreciation for PT Timah’s support, noting that the assistance significantly helps meet their daily food needs.
“Thank you to PT Timah for providing these grocery packages for the community. I hope PT Timah continues to thrive. This aid is really helpful in meeting our daily needs,” he said.
PT Timah Tbk's Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that the grocery package distribution is part of the company’s commitment to supporting food security in its operational areas.
“This initiative is part of our ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, which aims to strengthen our relationship with the community while contributing to a more prosperous social environment,” he said.
