BANGKA - PT Timah Tbk supports the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of SMAN1 Pemali in an activity entitled Milad Perak Ceria Painting Expression (MIRACLE).
Principal of SMAN 1 Pemali Eflina said that various activities were carried out to celebrate the anniversary of SMAN 1 Pemali. In addition to various competitions, there are also social activities such as blood donation, mass circumcision, food distribution, and health walks which are held for almost a week.
"PT Timah really supports our activities, with various assistance provided, and one of them is by presenting a healthy car with a health check program, besides that there is also support from SMAN 1 Pemali alumni. PT Timah, it is extraordinary to provide support to us, so that our activities run very smoothly," said Elfina.
According to her, several activities such as free examinations were the idea of ??alumni, some of whom have already become doctors. So that the benefits can be felt by the community.
Meanwhile, for academics, there are band competitions, dance, solo vocals, and games for school children in Bangka Regency. Apart from that, specifically for the students of SMAN 1 Pemali, there is a fashion show competition for clothes made from recycled materials.
"In this one week, the alumni came to school, and they met with the teachers, as well as their former friends, indirectly this became a reunion activity," she said.
According to her, this activity is one step of inspiration that can motivate students. Because it involves alumni starting from 98, up to the last generation.
"Then we make an event that can involve alumni, mobilize alumni, then it can also be for the community. Now this is a big lesson for all our students, that we live not only as students, not only learning in class but also learning in society, sharing and so on," she said
Meanwhile, Aleisyah Virend, a grade 11 student, was very amazed by the activities organized by his school.
"This year's school anniversary event is very lively because this is the first time for us and the alumni to participate in this activity. Apart from that, we also see that the surrounding community is very enthusiastic about participating in the anniversary activities that we are holding. Hopefully, it can continue to run smoothly until the peak event later," he said.
He recounted the presence of alumni who had succeeded in motivating them to study better so that they could be of benefit to many people.
"We also hope that in the future we can be like these great older siblings, for example, there are those who have become doctors," said Aeisyah.
He appreciates the contribution of PT Timah Tbk in supporting this activity, because according to him if PT Timah does not have a role, it is likely that the event will not be as grand.
"PT Timah is the biggest support, the main sponsor, and the pioneer in this activity. Anyway, PT Timah really supports this anniversary event. Give a thumbs up to PT Timah, because if there was no support from PT Timah, maybe our event would not be as lively as this," he said.
"Hopefully in the future, PT Timah can continue to support our activities, and can participate in making PT Timah proud and the name of our school too, by making achievements of course," he said.
In addition, one of the alumni of SMAN 1 Pemali, who is also a former PT Timah Tbk scholarship class student, Dr. Khoti Mulia Damiyati, said that he was very happy to be able to take part in the activity. Where he can help check the health of the community and also the teachers first.
"With the 25th anniversary of SMA, of course, it will be a reconnection for us, because that way we will be reconnected with fellow alumni and teachers," she said.
For her, this activity was very enjoyable because he could contribute directly to the school and the surrounding community.
She also hopes that this kind of activity can continue to be carried out, besides that she is also very grateful to PT Timah Tbk, which has given her the opportunity to become one of the recipients of the PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program.
"I am very grateful for being given the facilities and the opportunity to experience being a boarding student in PT Timah's flagship class. Because it forms us into stronger and more resilient characters. I often think I became what I am now, maybe because when I was in high school 3 years ago I was surrounded by great people, "she said.
