Support Ready-to-Work HR, PT Timah Tbk Has an Internship Program for Students and Students

PANGKALPINANG -- To support out-of-school and off-campus education programs for students and students. PT Timah Tbk provides internship opportunities at PT Timah Tbk in 2023.

Through the Timah Intership Program, PT Timah Tbk provides development opportunities for students and students to carry out direct work practices at PT Timah Tbk.

There are three pathways that students can take advantage of to be able to take part in the Timah Intership Program.

First, Industrial Work Practices, namely work practices intended for students from high/vocational high schools. Industrial Work Practices are held twice a year. Divided into two batches, the first batch in January-June and July-December. With a capacity of 40 participants per batch.

Second, Independent Work Practices or research. This pathway is carried out independently by students through a direct path from the Higher Education to PT Timah Tbk which is adjusted to the needs of fulfilling the curriculum in tertiary institutions.

This Independent Work Practice is also carried out in two batches in one year, namely batch 1 for the January-June period and batch 2 for the July-December period. With a capacity of participants in each batch of 40 people.

The PMMB program is also carried out in two batches in one year, batch one for the May-October period and Batch 2 for the November-April period. With the number of participants per batch of 30 people.

PT Timah Tbk's Corporate Communications Head, Anggi Siahaan said the internship program was PT Timah Tbk's commitment to support the world of education. Students and students can get to know and be directly involved in the company's business processes according to their areas of expertise.

"This internship program is PT Timah Tbk's effort to support the improvement of the quality of human resources, students and students can be directly involved according to their areas of expertise, know the world of work firsthand. So that later it can be a provision for them in the future," said Anggi.

Meanwhile, one of the participants of the Mandiri Internship Program at PT Timah Tbk, Fifi Yulita Putri from the University of Muhammadiyah Malang, said that she was very happy to be able to do an internship at PT Timah Tbk to broaden her world of work.

"The process is not too difficult, followed by administrative rules. Then wait and later we will be informed whether we are accepted or not. I chose to do an internship at PT Timah Tbk besides returning home, because PT Timah Tbk is indeed a BUMN," he said.

Fifi said that the internship program provided many benefits for her. She could see and be directly involved in various jobs.

"In college we learn the theory, in internships we can know and see firsthand how the process, standards and implementation are. So we also have a better picture of the world of work and will be a provision for the future," he said.

Third, the Certified Student Program (PMMB) is a work practice internship program implemented by the Ministry of BUMN through the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (FHCI).
