BANGKA BARAT -- PT Timah Tbk’s commitment to supporting education extends across all levels, from early childhood education to higher education.
One such example was seen in the Art Performance and Graduation Ceremony for Group B students of TK/PAUD Terpadu Stannia Muntok, held at the Wisma Majapahit Building in Muntok on Thursday (12/6/2025).
PT Timah fully facilitated and supported this annual event, which created a memorable moment for the students, teachers, and parents. The event was lively, with the stage decorated with colorful balloons, creating a festive atmosphere that encouraged the children to confidently showcase their artistic talents. They performed traditional dances, wore traditional costumes, and sang songs.
In addition to the performances, the event also featured the distribution of social assistance and awards for inspiring students. The assistance and awards were handed over directly by PT Timah’s Sub Division Head of Processing and Refinery, Kopdi Saragih, to representatives of TK/PAUD Stannia students.
The Principal of TK/PAUD Stannia, Suparningsih, expressed her appreciation to all parties involved, especially PT Timah, which has actively supported the development of Stannia’s early childhood education programs.
“Alhamdulillah, the Art Performance and Graduation Ceremony for Group B students went smoothly. Thank you to PT Timah for always supporting our activities, both in terms of facilities and guidance. We hope this collaboration will continue to produce smart, cheerful, and noble children,” she said.
The event was also warmly welcomed by the students’ parents. One of them, Abbi, said the event helped build the children’s confidence.
“This is a very positive event for developing the children’s self-confidence and strengthening the bond between parents, teachers, and the foundation. We truly appreciate PT Timah’s continued support for early childhood education,” said Abbi.
Meanwhile, Saza, a student from class B1 who performed the Payung Dance, shared her excitement about performing on stage, although she felt sad about leaving her beloved school.
“I’m happy to dance with my friends, but I’m also sad because I have to move on to elementary school,” she said innocently.
Another student, Muhamad Gibran Al Fatih (6 years old), echoed the same joy.
“It was fun! There were balloons, prizes, and I got to play with my friends, teachers, and parents,” he said with a smile.
