CENTRAL BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk in collaboration with Pokdarwis Gempita held the 'Timah Trail Run 2023' in the Bukit Pinteir tourist area, Sunday (23/7/2023).
The Timah Trial Run is a series of activities to welcome the 47th anniversary of PT Timah Tbk. As well as being part of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding's efforts to promote the Bukit Pinteir area in the Indonesian Tourism Award (API) for the sports and adventure tourism category.
Hundreds of participants took part in enlivening the Timah Trial Run which was held in this sports and adventure tourism area. The participants took the route as far as 6 KM.
The Head of the Central Bangka Regency Environmental Service, Ari Yanuar Prihatin appreciated PT Timah Tbk for carrying out activities in this area.
“This kind of activity has started to be routinely carried out in this area. We are very grateful to PT Timah for organizing this activity. This activity is also an effort to support the Bukit Pinteir tourist area in the API 2023 event," he said.
According to him, PT Timah Tbk often supports activities in Central Bangka such as tourism and sports. PT Timah Tbk, he said, had also supported the development of the Bukit Pinteir tourist area, especially for facilities and infrastructure.
"PT Timah Tbk's contribution to the development of this area is indeed extraordinary. We know that PT Timah is very active in helping the community, both in social activities and in other sporting events," he said.
"We are very proud of PT Timah Tbk because, with the presence of PT Timah Tbk in Bangka Belitung, especially in Central Bangka, we really feel its contribution," he continued.
Meanwhile, PT Timah Tbk CSR Division Head Ebbi Wibisana, said this activity was a corporate effort to support tourism in Bangka Belitung.
According to him, PT Timah Tbk continues to strive to support the fulfillment of existing facilities in this area, starting from the entrance gate, the Bukit Pinteir Landmark, gazebo, signposts along the access road to the area, as well as plant name signs as educational media.
"Thank God apart from PT Timah Tbk, the involvement of other BUMNs is also involved in the development of this area. Hopefully, in the future we can continue to work together to develop the Bukit Pinteir tourist area," he said.
He hopes that Bukit Pinteir can become an alternative tourist area for tourists. And can continue this Trail Run activity.
"For now, we are limiting the number of participants, because we want to see the public's interest. Thank God, it turned out that the enthusiasm was very high, and hopefully next year we can hold this kind of activity even more lively," he said. (*)
