Since early morning, crowds flocked to the venue to take part in a wide range of activities including a fun walk, mass zumba session, blood donation, free medical check-ups via the Mobile Health Unit, an MSME bazaar, live entertainment, and a prize draw featuring hundreds of gifts.
The event, themed “For Red and White”, welcomed participants from all walks of life, from children to the elderly.

Following the 4-kilometer fun walk, the atmosphere grew livelier with a mass zumba session, where participants enthusiastically followed the upbeat rhythms.
Adding color to the festivities, several attendees came dressed in unique costumes, ranging from traditional attire to outfits made from recycled materials.
PT Timah’s President Director, Restu Widiyantoro, expressed his appreciation for the community’s overwhelming participation in the 49th Anniversary Health Week, which also coincided with the celebration of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day.
“The 49th Anniversary of PT Timah carries the theme For Red and White. Through this spirit, every effort, innovation, and dedication reflects our love for the nation. We hope this event strengthens the bonds between PT Timah Tbk, the community, and all stakeholders,” said Restu.
He also extended gratitude to the regional government, Forkopimda, and the community for their support throughout PT Timah’s journey.
“We humbly ask for continued prayers and support from the entire community, local government, and all stakeholders. PT Timah Tbk has grown and developed alongside society, and with collective support, we aim to contribute even more to the nation and the people,” Restu added.
The Health Week celebration also featured a vibrant MSME bazaar, showcasing culinary delights, accessories, and artworks from dozens of small businesses and community entrepreneurs. The stalls drew enthusiastic crowds eager to shop and support local products.
In addition, PT Timah held social programs including a blood donation drive and free healthcare services through its Mobile Health Unit.
Prior to Pangkalpinang, PT Timah’s Health Week had also been successfully held in other operational areas such as Belitung, Kundur, South Bangka, and Bangka.
Ani, one of the participants, shared her excitement:
“I was so enthusiastic, I came early in the morning just to get a coupon. Not only is this event fun and healthy, but it’s also full of prizes and a chance to meet many people,” she said.
Similarly, Pongki, a resident of Kerabut, said he brought his whole family along after seeing how lively the events were in other regions.
“I was curious after hearing how festive it was elsewhere. Turns out here in Pangkalpinang it’s just as amazing. We got the health benefits, the joy, and hopefully, we’ll bring home some prizes too,” he said with a smile. (*)
