WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah Tbk's Mobil Sehat medical team provided health services for Suhendi Umar (67), a resident of Tanjung Village, Muntok District, West Bangka Regency, Thursday (16/11/2023).
The doctors and medical team went directly to Suhendi's residence because this middle-aged man could no longer walk because his leg had been amputated due to his diabetes.
PT Timah Tbk's Healthy Car yesterday provided health services to the community in Tanjung Village. The presence of this Healthy Car was enthusiastically welcomed by residents who came to have their health checked.
Suhendi was happy that the Mobil Sehat PT Timah Tbk medical team could visit him at his residence to help with his leg treatment. He said that he had been suffering from diabetes for nine years so his leg had to be amputated.
"Returning from the 2014 Hajj, the doctor said he was suffering from diabetes. Even though he had the first operation on his toe due to an injury, it never got better, instead, it got worse, he was forced to undergo a second operation and undergo amputation," he explained.
According to him, currently, he can only lie in his room, Suhendi's daily living needs and necessities are taken care of by his younger brother and the helping hands of neighbors.
Meanwhile, Dodi, a local youth figure who helped Suhendi's recovery, appreciated PT Timah's concern for Suhendi.
"We would like to express our gratitude to PT Timah's concern, the Healthy Car Team provides treatment by directly visiting patients whose condition cannot go to the service center. Because the patient can be lying at home. We and other neighbors are trying to help, considering that the patient's wife has died," he said. (*)
