KARIMUN — PT Timah Tbk continues to strengthen its commitment to maintaining social, cultural, and religious harmony in its operational areas by supporting the improvement of facilities and infrastructure for places of worship, as well as community religious and cultural activities.
Between January and May 2025, PT Timah Tbk has provided support to 14 places of worship and 34 religious activities across its operational regions.
Most recently, the company extended assistance to the As-Somad Mosque, located in Teluk Uma Subdistrict, Tebing District, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province.
This assistance will be used to renovate the mosque’s ablution (wudhu) area, aiming to improve comfort and the overall quality of worship facilities, especially in ensuring cleanliness and the adequacy of the ablution area for worshippers.
Saripudin, the head of As-Somad Mosque's management board, expressed his appreciation for PT Timah's support.
"On behalf of the management of As-Somad Mosque, we sincerely thank PT Timah for this assistance. May PT Timah continue to be blessed, grow stronger, and serve the community even better in the future," he said.
Saripudin also hopes that the assistance will enhance the worship experience for the congregation.

Meanwhile, PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that supporting places of worship is part of the company’s social and environmental responsibility program to assist communities within its operational areas.
