BANGKA -- PT Timah continues to demonstrate its commitment to maintaining social, cultural, and religious harmony in its operational areas. One of its efforts is reflected in the support provided through the company’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.
As part of this ongoing commitment, PT Timah consistently supports the development of houses of worship and religious activities, showing care for the communities surrounding its operational zones.
A recent example of this commitment was PT Timah’s assistance to Al Muhajirin Mosque in Nelayan 1, Sungailiat, Bangka Regency.
The aid will be used to repair the mosque’s roof, which was damaged by a tornado that struck the area some time ago.
Muzlih, Treasurer of Al Muhajirin Mosque, explained the condition of the mosque following the tornado.
“Not long ago, a tornado hit and caused damage to the roof of our mosque’s courtyard. The roof was destroyed by the storm,” he said.
Muzlih also expressed his appreciation to PT Timah for their prompt support and assistance to the mosque.
“On behalf of the mosque management, we are very grateful for the support PT Timah has provided. Our financial condition is quite limited, so we truly appreciate the help,” he said.
Through this support, PT Timah hopes to foster a more prosperous and harmonious community environment in the company's operational areas. (\*)
