BANGKA BARAT -- PT TIMAH Tbk has once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting regional development through tax compliance. The issuer TINS received an award as the Largest Corporate Taxpayer from the Bangka Barat Regency Government.
The award was presented directly by the Regent of Bangka Barat, Markus, and received by the Sub Division Head of Processing and Refinery of PT TIMAH Tbk, Kopdi Sargih, during the Award Ceremony for the Achievement of PBB-P2 Revenue Targets for 2025, held at the Graha Aparatur Building of the Bangka Barat Regency Government on Monday (December 15, 2025).
Regent Markus expressed his appreciation to all taxpayers who have complied with paying the Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2), including PT TIMAH Tbk, which was assessed as making a significant contribution to Regional Original Revenue (PAD).
“We would like to thank all taxpayers who consistently pay their taxes. This sets a good example. Tax compliance is very important to increase Bangka Barat’s PAD,” said Markus.
According to him, PBB-P2 is one of the strategic sources of PAD, especially as the region prepares for 2026, when Transfers to Regions (TKD) are projected to decline.
“Therefore, we hope that efforts to optimize PAD will continue to be enhanced, one of which is through PBB-P2. There is still a lot of potential that can be developed more optimally,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Tax and Retribution Management Agency of Bangka Barat Regency, Muhammad Ali, stated that PT TIMAH Tbk has great potential to contribute to PBB-P2 revenue in 2026.
“We see that the potential PBB-P2 revenue from PT TIMAH Tbk’s production areas is quite significant. In October and November, we updated PBB-P2 data in those areas, and the results show opportunities to increase Bangka Barat’s PAD,” he explained.
This award serves as recognition of PT TIMAH Tbk’s contribution to supporting regional revenue and strengthening synergy between the business sector and local government in promoting sustainable development. (*)
