PANGKALPINANG -- To strengthen corporate governance in mining partnerships, PT Timah held a virtual socialization event titled "Optimizing Collaboration with Mining Partners Amid Regulatory Changes" on Monday (16/6/2025).
During the session, PT Timah presented updates on the changes to the Board of Directors Regulation Number 0017 of 2025 regarding Guidelines for the Mining Cooperation Program and Cooperation on Alluvial Tin and Associated Mineral Mining.
PT Timah’s Director of Human Resources, Andi Seto Ghadista Asapa, stated that the socialization is an effort to build mutual commitment in strengthening beneficial collaboration based on professionalism and integrity.
He explained that Regulation Number 0017 of 2025 was drafted with assistance from the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia to replace Decree 1276 of 2018 concerning Guidelines for Partner Procurement in Onshore and Offshore Mining Cooperation within PT Timah Tbk.
This new regulation aims to uphold integrity, prevent conflicts of interest, and adapt to technical improvements, efficiency measures, and digital systems in mining partnerships using pengadaan.com and the Mining Control Online System (MCOS) application.
"With these changes, PT Timah is working to ensure that mining partnerships operate according to sound mining governance principles. The company will also assist business partners and potential partners in understanding the new partnership system," he said.
He expressed hope that the forum would serve as a constructive platform for business partners to address the changes in PT Timah’s mining partnership cooperation.
"Use this forum as an open and constructive dialogue space, and it is expected that all partners and prospective partners can meet the administrative and technical requirements so the collaboration can proceed in accordance with current regulations," he added.
This initiative is part of PT Timah’s ongoing efforts to improve corporate governance, demonstrating its commitment to implementing Good Corporate Governance principles.
