Strengthening Management-Employee Synergy, Riki Febriansyah Re-Elected to Lead IKT PT TIMAH for the 2026–2029 Term

PANGKALPINANG -- Strengthening synergy and collaboration between management and employees is one of the key priorities for PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk in navigating the dynamics of the tin industry while ensuring the company's long-term sustainability.

This commitment was highlighted during the 2026 Timah Employees Association Congress (MUSKAR IKT), held at the Aston Hotel from Friday to Sunday (October 30–November 1, 2026). During the congress, Riki Febriansyah was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Timah Employees Association (IKT) for the 2026–2029 term.

Riki's re-election marks an opportunity to continue strengthening the organization, fostering closer communication between employees and management, and advocating for employees' aspirations while supporting the company's long-term sustainability.

Under the theme "Upholding IKT's Dignity, Growing Together for Employee Welfare and the Sustainability of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk Toward Greater Success," MUSKAR IKT 2026 also served as a forum to evaluate the organization and establish its leadership direction and work programs for the next three years.

The event was attended by PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk's Director of Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Harry Budi Sidarta; Edward, Head of the Employment Section at the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Manpower Office; regional IKT board members; and congress participants.

In his remarks, Harry Budi Sidarta stated that the tin industry is currently facing various challenges, ranging from regulatory issues and mining governance to community mining activities and the growing need for corporate transformation.

According to Harry, the 2026–2027 period will be a critical phase for PT TIMAH to implement organizational improvements and adjustments, enabling the company to become more adaptive to changes in the industry.

"PT TIMAH's ship is currently navigating turbulent waters amid major challenges in the tin industry. Therefore, unity and strong synergy between management and all employees are essential to overcoming these challenges together," he said.

Harry emphasized that employees play a vital role in the company's transformation process, as they have firsthand knowledge of operational conditions and the challenges encountered in the field. For this reason, employee feedback and aspirations conveyed through various communication channels serve as valuable input for the Board of Directors in formulating corporate policies.

"IKT must serve as a strategic partner to management. Its role is not only to advocate for employee welfare but also to help safeguard the company's long-term sustainability. We must understand one another, support each other, and remain united in facing challenges, both internal and external," he explained.

He also expressed hope that IKT would expand its role in building communication with stakeholders and conveying employee aspirations constructively to support PT TIMAH's continued progress and sustainability.

Meanwhile, Edward, Head of the Employment Section at the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Manpower Office, expressed his appreciation for the organization of MUSKAR IKT 2026. According to him, the event's theme reflects the importance of maintaining a balance between employee welfare and corporate sustainability.

He explained that these two aspects are inseparable. A company needs employees who are well-supported and productive, while employee welfare also depends on a financially sound and competitive company.

"A company cannot achieve sustainable success if the welfare and safety of its employees are neglected. Conversely, employee welfare must also be supported by a healthy, resilient, and competitive company," he stated.

Edward expressed hope that IKT would continue playing an active role in fostering harmonious industrial relations through social dialogue, consensus-based decision-making, and improvements in work ethic and productivity.

He also encouraged the employee organization to become an agent of change that upholds integrity, professionalism, discipline, and responsibility in supporting the company's progress.

Following his re-election to lead IKT for the 2026–2029 term, Riki Febriansyah reaffirmed his commitment to building a stronger, more respected, and more unified organization capable of effectively representing the aspirations of all employees.

According to Riki, the trust placed in him through MUSKAR IKT 2026 is both an honor and a responsibility to continue the organization's efforts to improve employee welfare without overlooking the interests and long-term sustainability of the company.

He emphasized that employee welfare and corporate sustainability are not competing interests. Instead, they must advance together, as a strong company depends on employees whose well-being is supported, while employees also play a crucial role in driving the company's progress.

Riki also called on all IKT members to maintain unity and organizational solidarity, prioritize dialogue, and view differences of opinion as part of a constructive democratic process.

"We may have different opinions, but we must never lose our sense of brotherhood. We may have different perspectives, but we share one common goal: a strong IKT, prosperous employees, and an increasingly successful PT TIMAH," he emphasized.

Under its leadership for the 2026–2029 term, IKT is expected to further strengthen its role as a strategic partner to management while serving as a platform for communication and advocacy on behalf of employees.

Strong synergy between management and employees is expected to be an essential foundation for PT TIMAH in addressing challenges in the tin industry, advancing corporate transformation, and ensuring business sustainability and the welfare of all employees. (*)
