PANGKALPINANG -- As a form of commitment to supporting the development of a Qur’anic generation, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, during the holy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri, provided assistance to tahfiz Al-Qur’an students across its operational areas.
Dozens of tahfiz students received support from PT TIMAH, spread across Bangka Regency, South Bangka, East Belitung, Kundur, and West Bangka.
This assistance program is part of the company’s annual Safari Ramadan series. The support is given to students who memorize the Qur’an as an appreciation for their dedication in preserving and practicing Qur’anic values in their daily lives.
One of the recipients, Rafiz Said Agil (14), a resident of Kundur Island, expressed his gratitude upon receiving prayer equipment and educational support funds.
For tahfiz students, this assistance serves as new motivation to continue memorizing the verses of the Holy Qur’an.
According to him, the support is not merely about prayer equipment, but also represents care and prayers from those who value his journey as a Qur’an memorizer.
“Thank you to PT TIMAH for the assistance given to me. I received a peci and a sarong that I will use for prayers and while memorizing the Qur’an at the boarding school,” said Rafiz.
“I hope PT TIMAH continues to provide this kind of support to other tahfiz students so we can stay motivated to learn,” he added.
Similarly, Fadillah (15), a second-year student at Ma’had Utsman Bin Affan Islamic Boarding School in Koba, also expressed gratitude for the support provided by PT TIMAH.
Fadillah began memorizing the Qur’an at the age of 13 and has now successfully memorized six juz.
“Sometimes memorizing feels easy, but other times it’s difficult, especially remembering the letters. Usually, I review my memorization every day to maintain it. For one juz, it usually takes me about a month,” she explained.
She admitted that she did not expect to receive the assistance. For her, the scholarship serves as motivation to further improve her Qur’an memorization.
“I am very grateful and didn’t expect to receive this support. I hope it motivates me to continue memorizing the Qur’an,” she said.
Likewise, Fahri Afriansyah (15), a student from Selinsing Village, also received assistance as a tahfiz student. He expressed his gratitude and happiness at being selected as one of the beneficiaries.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to receive support from PT TIMAH Tbk. This assistance means a lot to me, and I plan to use it to buy books and other learning needs so I can be more motivated to study and memorize the Qur’an,” he said.
For him, memorizing the Qur’an is not only part of his education but also a motivation to continue achieving and developing his potential.
