PANGKALPINANG -- The TINS Half Marathon 2025, held to celebrate the 49th anniversary of PT Timah Tbk, left unforgettable experiences and stories for runners who achieved remarkable results.

The event, which drew 2,500 participants, featured three categories: Half Marathon (21K), 10K, and 5K. As part of the 49th anniversary celebration of PT Timah Tbk with the theme "For the Red and White," the TINS Half Marathon was filled with excitement and energy.

Thousands of runners from various regions not only competed for speed but also celebrated sportsmanship and togetherness through this race.

This was exactly how Marina, one of the athletes, felt. A student at Muhammadiyah University of Bangka Belitung, she broke her personal best in the 10K category with a time of 40 minutes and 01 second.

According to her, beyond winning first place in the Women’s 10K category, she was thrilled with the lively atmosphere and the comfort she felt while running.

“At the TINS Half Marathon, I managed to achieve my personal best. This was truly an exciting accomplishment, and I was so eager to join the event that I couldn’t sleep properly the night before, just waiting for the morning to come,” she said.

She also appreciated the vibrant and well-organized event, which attracted runners from many regions.

“Events like this are highly anticipated by athletes because they provide a chance to measure our abilities. We really hope this kind of activity can be held regularly,” she added.

The same sentiment was shared by Dicky H, who claimed first place in the 5K category. He said he was truly happy with his achievement.

“This was incredibly festive, I think it’s one of the most exciting events I’ve been part of. Competitions like this motivate athletes, and we hope it becomes a regular agenda,” he said.

Similarly, Jony, who competed in the master category, admitted he was surprised to win a podium finish.

“It was fun, and I honestly didn’t expect to win. Events like this are still quite rare, so I see it as an exciting and refreshing activity. Hopefully, more events like this will be held in the future,” he said.

Nita also shared her experience of competing in the 21K category at the TINS Half Marathon.

“Alhamdulillah, I was able to finish and avoid injury. The race was really fun, and the atmosphere was lively. Hopefully, this event will continue to be held,” she concluded.
