SOUTH BANGKA -- Yulia could not hold back her tears when her raffle number was called as one of the grand prize winners at the Healthy Week event celebrating PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary at Nek Aji Beach, South Bangka Regency, on Saturday (August 16, 2025).
A resident of Gang Tenang, Toboali, she shed tears of joy as she never imagined she would bring home a motorcycle from the Healthy Week event. Since 5:30 a.m., she had taken her three children along to join the festivities of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary Healthy Week, which carried the theme “For the Red and White.”
She said she was very excited to take part in this activity and hoped she might bring home a prize. That wish eventually came true, despite some initial doubts.
“I never expected to win a motorcycle, I’m so touched. At first, I was told I wouldn’t get anything. But I stayed until the very end, and thank God, today turned out to be my blessing,” she said, wiping away tears of joy.
According to her, PT Timah’s events are always eagerly awaited by the community, not only because they are lively but also because they offer so many prizes. She wished PT Timah continued success so the company could keep bringing benefits to the community.
The same sentiment was shared by Ridho (25), who also won a motorcycle at the event. For him, the prize was an unexpected blessing ahead of his upcoming wedding.
“Maybe this is my blessing as I’m about to get married. Thank you, PT Timah. I really didn’t expect to win this prize. I wish PT Timah even greater success, and happy anniversary,” he said.
Another winner, Meri Agustini, a resident of Gadung Village, also took home a motorcycle. She shared that this was the very first motorcycle she has ever owned, as she had always relied on her parents’ bike.
“Thank you, PT Timah. I’ve never owned my own motorcycle before, and now, thank God, I finally do. All this time I used my parents’ bike. I never imagined this blessing would come my way, as I had no feeling or expectation beforehand,” she said.
At the Healthy Week event in South Bangka, PT Timah, a member of the Mining Industry Holding MIND ID, distributed 10 motorcycles along with hundreds of other prizes for the community.
