Stories of PT Timah's Pemali Boarding School Scholarship Programme Recipients, Preparing for College

KARIMUN -- PT Timah's Pemali Boarding School (PBS) programme at SMA Negeri 1 Pemali is a scholarship exemplar designed to prepare quality human resources.

No wonder the alumni of the Pemali Boarding School programme have made various achievements and worked in various fields.

PT Timah's Pemali Boarding School alumni now have various plans and dreams that they want to realise. One of them is Nafisa Layla Khayru Nabila from Karimun Regency, Riau Islands who expressed her desire to continue her education to college.

Nafisa is one of the students in PT Timah's Pemali Boarding School programme who will graduate this year.

‘I want to continue my studies in my field of interest and one day make a greater contribution to society. PBS has taught me not to be afraid to dream and try to realise it,’ said Nafisa enthusiastically.

In implementing the Pemali Boarding School programme, PT Timah not only provides scholarships for academic education but also fosters
mental and skills so that the alumni are ready to face future challenges.

Parents also expressed their appreciation to PT Timah for the scholarship programme that not only provides access to quality education, but also equips students with valuable skills and experience.

"We are very grateful and thankful to PT Timah for supporting our children all this time. This programme has provided many benefits, both in terms of academics and character development," said Yuslia Suyatni, parent of Nafisa.

PT Timah is committed to encouraging young people to achieve their dreams through innovative and sustainable education programmes.

Pemali Boarding School Programme alumni like Nafisa are now ready to move on to higher education with confidence, bringing with them the valuable values and experiences they have gained during their time at the boarding school.

In addition, the growing alumni network is also one of the main strengths in supporting the graduates' journey. They can share experiences, opportunities, and build a strong community to continue learning and developing together.

As is known, the Pemali Boarding School Programme, which has been present since 2000, has graduated around 850 alumni.

Through this programme PT Timah hopes that Pemali Boarding School alumni can become agents of change who have a positive impact on the surrounding environment and support the golden generation 2045. (*)
