PANGKALPINANG – The holy month of Ramadan serves as a special moment for PT Timah Tbk and its subsidiaries to strengthen community ties and share kindness through various social initiatives.
These activities reflect PT Timah’s commitment to supporting communities in its operational areas, spreading happiness by providing aid to those in need.
Under the theme "Ramadan as a Moment for Change to Become the Best Version of Ourselves," PT Timah and its subsidiaries distributed thousands of food packages to beneficiaries across various operational areas.
Additionally, PT Timah and its subsidiaries hosted iftar gatherings with community members and stakeholders, fostering stronger connections between the company and the people.
Throughout Ramadan, PT Timah organized several social programs, including Donations for orphans, Distribution of food packages, Assistance for Quran memorization students and religious teachers, Support for places of worship, Sponsorship of Ramadan learning programs, and Iftar gatherings with communities, religious leaders, and local stakeholders
PT Timah's subsidiaries also participated in these efforts. PT DAK Perkapalan distributed hundreds of food packages to communities in Bangka and Lombok, PT Timah Karya Persada Properti (TKPP) provided hundreds of food packages and financial aid to orphans, PT Timah Industri donated thousands of food packages to communities in nine villages in Kabaena and supported orphans, and PT Timah Industri also shared joy by providing school supplies and financial aid to hundreds of orphans.
Anggi Siahaan, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PT Timah, emphasized that this initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which is conducted annually.
"Ramadan is a month full of blessings, and every year, PT Timah and its subsidiaries remain committed to sharing happiness with the community. We hope these social activities bring meaningful benefits to the people," said Anggi.
Meanwhile, Sulimah, a beneficiary from Gadung Village, South Bangka Regency, expressed her gratitude for the food assistance.
"I’m very happy and truly grateful for this food aid. I hope we continue receiving support in the future. May PT Timah always be blessed," she said.
