WEST BANGKA – In the spirit of giving and solidarity, the Sobat Aksi Ramadan initiative, launched by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and PT Timah, distributed dozens of food packages to elderly residents in Mayang Village, West Bangka Regency.
The Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025 event, held at Al-Muktibin Prayer Room in Mayang Village on Friday, March 14, 2025, reflects the commitment of SOEs and PT Timah to supporting the community during the holy month of Ramadan.
This initiative aligns with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita Vision, particularly the 8th mission, which aims to promote social harmony and strengthen interfaith tolerance.
The food packages, distributed by PT Timah employees and the Ministry of SOEs, were warmly received by the elderly beneficiaries.
One of the recipients, Usai (66), expressed his happiness and gratitude for the assistance.
"Alhamdulillah, I’m very happy to receive this food aid. With Eid approaching, this support is truly helpful for us," he said.
Similarly, Arifin (66) shared how much the assistance meant to him, especially in preparing for Eid.
"Alhamdulillah, this is a blessing during Ramadan and helps us ahead of Eid. Thank you, PT Timah, for your care and support. I hope this program continues in the future," he hoped.
Kasno Susanto, the Head of Mayang Village, also appreciated the food aid initiative, acknowledging its timeliness and positive impact on the local community.
"The residents were excited to receive food assistance from PT Timah. It truly helps, especially in these challenging economic times. On behalf of the Mayang community, we sincerely thank PT Timah. May PT Timah continue to thrive," he said.
Beyond distributing food packages, the Sobat Aksi Ramadan program—initiated by the Ministry of SOEs—also included A community cleanup at Al-Muktibin Prayer Room, Donations for orphans, Storytelling and coloring activities for children, and A communal iftar (breaking of the fast).
Through Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025, PT Timah and the Ministry of SOEs spread joy, strengthened community bonds, and reaffirmed the role of SOEs as pillars of social development. (*)
