SAWANG – To support community sports activities in the company's operational area, PT Timah Tbk donated volleyball equipment to the fishermen group of Sawang Village, Kundur Barat District, Thursday (13/1/2022).
The assistance of volleyball sports facilities such as poles, nets, volleyball and also the referee's chair is expected to stimulate community sports.
The Chief Fisherman of Sawang Satar Village appreciated the support of sports facilities for the community. This can be an effort to find seeds for volleyball athletes with frequent practice. "Alhamdulillah, I feel happy for this assistance, so that it can stimulate the enthusiasm of the children around here in exercising," he said.
"So it is hoped that in the future there will be potential young seeds and can take part in the professional arena who can make Karimun Regency proud," he continued.
Meanwhile, one of the local youths, Emy, appreciated the assistance that PT Timah continues to provide through CSR. This assistance will have an immediate impact on the community. "Hopefully the young people around Asamara Dewi Beach, who are mostly fishermen's children, can channel their hobby of sports with the equipment that has been provided by PT Timah." he said.
