BANGKA BELITUNG – In the spirit of compassion and togetherness, PT Timah Tbk, in collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), launched the Sobat Aksi Ramadan program, sharing joy and assisting those in need during the holy month of Ramadan.
Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025 serves as a moment of giving, strengthening bonds, and fostering unity while reinforcing the role of SOEs as pillars of social development.
Aligned with President Prabowo’s Asta Cita Vision, particularly the 8th mission, this initiative promotes social harmony and interfaith tolerance.
The Sobat Aksi Ramadan 2025 series extended to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, specifically in Mayang Village, West Bangka Regency.
During the second week of Ramadan, SOE volunteers from PT Timah participated in a community cleanup at a local mosque, provided staple food packages for the elderly, and donated to orphans at Al Mukhbitin Mosque in Mayang Village on Friday, March 14, 2025.
The residents of Mayang Village eagerly took part in the activities, collaborating with SOE employees to clean the mosque—both its interior and surrounding areas, including the parking lot.
At the same location, 50 food aid packages were distributed, along with financial assistance for 25 orphans, followed by a communal iftar (breaking of the fast).
Adding to the excitement, PT Timah Tbk’s Tins Agent team organized coloring and storytelling sessions for children, making the event even more engaging.
Kasno Susanto, the Head of Mayang Village, expressed his gratitude for the initiative and support from PT Timah and the Ministry of SOEs.
“We are grateful that PT Timah and the Ministry of SOEs have shown attention to our village. The community, from parents to children, is truly enthusiastic and benefited from this program,” said Kasno Susanto.
He further noted that PT Timah had previously provided medical assistance to residents and contributed to the construction of Al Mukhbitin Mosque.
Similarly, Juhari, the head of Al Mukhbitin Mosque, acknowledged that this was the first Sobat Aksi Ramadan held in Mayang Village. He appreciated the initiative to foster ties between PT Timah and the mosque congregation.
“The community is delighted with the food aid, donations for children, the cleanup initiative, and the communal iftar. We are grateful to PT Timah’s employees and residents for helping clean the mosque—now it looks spotless,” he said.
Soleha, a resident of Mayang Village, also appreciated the program, highlighting its positive social impact, especially during Ramadan.
“Thank you, PT Timah. We hope this kind of initiative continues in the future. May PT Timah achieve even greater success, and may its contributions continue to bring economic and social benefits to the community,” she expressed. (*)
