WEST BANGKA -- In the moment of Safari Ramadan held in the Processing and Refinery Division, PT Timah shared happiness with orphans and orphans in West Bangka Regency.
A total of 150 orphans and orphans received compensation symbolically handed over by Operations and Production Director Nur Adi Kuncoro with PT Timah Commissioner Yudi Dwinanda Priaadi at the PT Timah Guest House, Amentok, West Bangka Regency, Tuesday (18/3/2025).
Sharing with orphans and orphans is a routine activity carried out by PT Timah not only during Ramadan. This is a form of company togetherness to help the community.
One of the recipients, Tiara, admitted that she was happy to receive compensation from PT Timah which will be saved.
“I am happy, I will save the money for Tiara's future. Thank you PT Timah for the compensation,” said the 7th grade student of Muhamadiyah Junior High School.
Similarly, Viola, an 11th grade student of Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Mentok, was grateful to receive compensation from PT Timah.
“I am happy and grateful to receive assistance from PT Timah, I will save it first, for the future, help for college,” she said.
According to Viola, PT Timah is one of the companies that cares about the community because it often provides assistance in various forms such as basic necessities, orphan compensation and also helps the sick.
Meanwhile, West Bangka cleric Habib Hasan bin Umar Assegaf assessed that PT Timah's Ramadan Safari provided many benefits for residents.
“PT Timah's Safari Ramadan is amazing, Masya Allah, there are many positives in it, many benefits. Hopefully activities like this will continue to be maintained and improved,” he said.
According to him, PT Timah's consistency in helping the community shows the existence of a company whose existence has provided benefits to the community.
“PT Timah earlier handed over assistance for orphans and dhuafa, assistance for teachers, basic food assistance. Alhamdulillah, PT Timah is very active in providing assistance from its CSR,” he said.
In the Safari Ramadan activities in West Bangka, in addition to carrying out friendship, PT Timah also handed over social assistance for the community such as food packages, seed assistance, assistance for houses of worship and compensation for orphans and poor people. (*)
