KARIMUN -- Still in the momentum of the 77th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, PT Timah Tbk shares the blessings of Independence for fishing groups. This time it was the Sapurata Joint Business Group (KUB), Teluk Uma sub-district, Tebing sub-district, Karimun which received assistance from PT Timah Tbk.
Previously, PT Timah Tbk routinely helped fishing groups to increase their catches. Assistance is usually in the form of fishing gear and other facilities and infrastructure.
The chairman of KUB Sapurata, Teluk Uma Village, Tebing Zamhur District, expressed his appreciation to PT Timah Tbk for helping their group.
"We thank the company, which has provided assistance and attention to the KUB Sapurata Fisherman Group," he said.
He mentioned that the members of KUB Sapurata consist of 13 people who are traditional fishermen groups, so they really need attention to be able to increase fishermen's catches.
"We will use this aid to buy fishing gear for members of the Sapurata KUB group. Each member has different needs," he said.
He mentioned the fishing equipment needed by fishermen such as nets and other fishing equipment.
"We will use this assistance to procure fishing gear such as nets and others," he said.
He hopes that the synergy between PT Timah Tbk and fishermen groups can continue. So they can support each other.
"Hopefully PT Timah Tbk will progress and develop so that it can continue to help and contribute to the community, especially the fishermen," he hoped.
