Serving Communities Down to the Hamlet Level, PT Timah's Mobile Health Service Continues to Provide Free Healthcare

PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding access to healthcare for communities through its Mobile Health Service program. Since its launch, the program has provided free healthcare services to thousands of residents in the company's operational areas.

From January to July 2025, PT Timah’s Mobile Health Unit has served 2,698 individuals across 21 locations in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province.

The Mobile Health Unit is a proactive, free healthcare service that reaches directly into villages and residential areas, aiming to make it easier for the public to access healthcare.

Equipped with professional medical personnel and basic medical facilities, the services include general health check-ups, medical consultations, medication distribution, and health lifestyle education.

The presence of PT Timah’s Mobile Health Service has been warmly welcomed by the community. Many residents have taken advantage of the service to check their blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and receive direct medical consultations at no cost.

This health service from MIND ID, the State-Owned Mining Industry Holding member, is utilized not only by adults and the elderly but also by children who frequently get health check-ups through the program.

In running this program, PT Timah also collaborates with local governments and other stakeholders to maximize the positive impact of the Mobile Health Service. This partnership aims to support national health initiatives, particularly in raising awareness about the importance of maintaining good health.

PT Timah's Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, said the Mobile Health program is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility in the health sector.

"The Mobile Health program is expected to provide direct benefits to the community. It also serves to educate and encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle, ultimately improving their quality of life," said Anggi.

One of the beneficiaries of the Mobile Health program is Wulandari, a resident of Bangka Regency, who expressed her appreciation for the health service offered by PT Timah.

"I'm really happy because it's free, and I hope the health service will come to our village so it’s easier for us to get medical care," said the Bangka resident.
