Series of Events for PT Timah's 49th Anniversary Brings Free Healthcare Services, Hundreds of Central Bangka Residents Eager to Visit Mobile Clinic

CENTRAL BANGKA -- As part of its 49th Anniversary Month of Service, PT Timah Tbk continues its commitment to public welfare. After successfully providing free health check-up services through its mobile clinic in Kundur and Jakarta, PT Timah once again offered healthcare services to the community in one of its operational areas.

Celebrating its 49th anniversary under the theme “For the Red and White,” PT Timah provided free health services through its Mobile Clinic for the residents of Padang Mulia Subdistrict, Koba District, Central Bangka Regency on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

The presence of PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic was warmly welcomed by the community, with around 130 residents eagerly coming to receive health check-ups.

Ema Febriyarti, the Head of Koba Subdistrict in Central Bangka, expressed her full support and appreciation for PT Timah's free mobile health services in Padang Mulia.

"Today’s event went smoothly and received a great response, especially from the elderly. This service is extremely helpful for those who face access issues to health centers, particularly due to transportation challenges," she said.

Ema hopes that this program will continue so that healthcare services can reach more people across all community levels.

"The public’s enthusiasm was very high, especially among the elderly who felt truly supported in maintaining their health," she added.

Meanwhile, Puspawati (63), a senior resident of RT 9 in Padang Mulia, said that the local community had been excited about the mobile clinic event since the day before.

"Yesterday, we already heard announcements from the mosque and our neighborhood chief about the free health check-up by PT Timah. Everyone was excited," she said.

She shared that PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic services were excellent, clean, organized, and friendly.

"From registration, waiting in line, doctor consultation, to getting the medication—everything was done with kindness. The mobile clinic is clean and air-conditioned. It was a great experience to get checked up at PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic. I really hope this becomes a regular program," she expressed.

Puspawati also encouraged others, especially the elderly, to take care of their health by exercising and eating healthy food.

"At this age, we need to take care of our health by doing light exercises like senior aerobics and eating healthy cutting down on oily food, like fried snacks, and reducing sugar and salt," she advised.

Yusniarti (68), another elderly resident who arrived early for the event, shared that the free healthcare services were a huge financial help.

"Thank God, the free check-up at PT Timah’s Mobile Clinic saved me from healthcare expenses. I didn’t need to go to the health center, and the medicines were also free, which allowed me to save money for other living expenses," she said.

Yusniarti hopes that the mobile clinic can continue visiting her area regularly to make healthcare more accessible for the residents.

"I hope PT Timah keeps bringing the Mobile Clinic here. I pray that PT Timah will be blessed with more success and continue to help people stay healthy," she wished.
