The rest stops are part of BUMN’s commitment to supporting the Mudik Senang dan Menyenangkan (Joyful and Pleasant Homecoming) program by providing essential facilities for travelers.
PT Timah, a state-owned mining company, is participating in the initiative by setting up a rest stop at Rest Area KM 234, Route A, on the Terbanggi Besar - Kayu Agung Toll Road, Trans-Sumatra, Lampung - Palembang.
Collaborating with PT Bukit Asam and Hutama Karya, PT Timah offers free health check-ups, free medication, iftar meals, prayer areas, resting spaces for travelers, as well as baby care and lactation rooms.
At the rest stop, travelers can also enjoy complimentary drinks while taking a break from their journey.
This initiative is expected to help travelers experience a safer and more comfortable homecoming trip.
The rest stop will be available from March 26-29, 2025. Additionally, it will reopen for the return traffic from April 5-8, 2025.
PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, emphasized that this initiative is part of the Posko Mudik Bersama BUMN 2025 program, aimed at providing a safe and convenient experience for travelers.
"PT Timah, in collaboration with PT Bukit Asam and Hutama Karya, has set up this rest stop to ensure that homecoming travelers can enjoy comfortable and safe facilities. This rest stop not only offers a place to rest but also provides various beneficial services for travelers," he stated. (*)
