WEST BANGKA -- PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk continues to share happiness with the community during the holy month of Ramadan while strengthening the values of faith and piety (IMTAQ) among society.
Through the Safari Ramadan activities held across the company’s operational areas, PT TIMAH provided assistance to Quran teachers, mosque caretakers (marbot), and Quran memorizers (tahfiz). One such event took place at the Processing & Refinery Division in Mentok, West Bangka, on Wednesday (March 4, 2026).
The assistance for Quran teachers, mosque caretakers, and tahfiz students is a form of appreciation from PT TIMAH for their role in fostering religious education and maintaining places of worship.
One of the recipients, Jamilah, a Quran teacher at the TPA of Darul Muttaqim Mosque, expressed her happiness and gratitude for the attention given by PT TIMAH through the Safari Ramadan program.
“This Safari Ramadan activity is very meaningful for us. In addition to being invited to break the fast together, we also receive appreciation and recognition as Quran teachers. This is truly a special joy for us,” she said.
According to Jamilah, PT TIMAH’s contributions have been felt by the community over the years. Besides providing assistance for Quran teachers, the company has also frequently delivered other forms of social support to residents.
“In addition to assistance for Quran teachers, the community and I have also received staple food packages from PT TIMAH in the past. Thank you very much to PT TIMAH, and we hope programs like this will continue. Jazakumullah khairan,” she said.
A similar sentiment was expressed by Nauval, a Quran memorizer who said he was happy to be invited to the iftar gathering organized by PT TIMAH.
“This is my first time being invited by PT TIMAH to break the fast together. I am very happy and grateful because I also received assistance as a Quran memorizer. Our prayer is that PT TIMAH will continue to grow, prosper, and keep providing benefits to the community,” said the MA Insan Cendekia student.
Meanwhile, Ngatijan, a mosque caretaker at Urwatil Wusqo Mosque, said the Safari Ramadan activity carried out by PT TIMAH reflects the company’s social concern for communities in its operational areas.
“This Safari Ramadan activity by PT TIMAH is very good. Besides being an opportunity to strengthen ties with the community, it also shows the company’s social care for residents around its operational areas. We are certainly happy and hope that what PT TIMAH does will receive blessings from Allah SWT,” he said.
Previously, PT TIMAH had also provided assistance to mosque caretakers, Quran teachers, and Quran memorizers in Bangka Regency, and the program will continue to be implemented across all of the company’s operational areas. (*)
