PANGKALPINANG -- Registration for the Scholarship Class Program initiated by PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk at SMAN 1 Pemali for the 2026/2027 academic year officially opened today, Monday (March 2, 2026).
Students who are interested in applying can access the Student Admission System (SPMB) for the PT TIMAH Scholarship Class Program for the 2026/2027 academic year through the website https://spmb2026.beasiswatimah.com/home.php
The PT TIMAH Scholarship Class Program at SMAN 1 Pemali is part of the company’s commitment to improving the quality of education in its operational areas, including the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province.
This educational scholarship is intended for high-achieving students from low-income families. This year, a total of 36 students will be admitted into the Scholarship Class program.
Applicants will go through several stages of selection, including administrative screening, field surveys, an academic potential test, psychological testing, interviews, clinical psychological assessments, document validation, and medical examinations.
The Corporate Secretary of PT TIMAH stated that the registration period for the Scholarship Class Program will run from March 2 to April 10, 2026.
The selection process for the Scholarship Class Program at SMAN 1 Pemali is conducted in collaboration with the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Education Office and SMAN 1 Pemali.
Through this program, PT TIMAH hopes to continue contributing to the development of outstanding young generations who are able to compete both nationally and globally toward Indonesia Gold 2045.
The Principal of SMAN 1 Pemali explained that there are several important requirements that prospective students must meet to participate in the Scholarship Class selection.
Academically, applicants are required to have a minimum report card score of 75 in several designated subjects. In addition, students must prepare themselves for the psychological test and academic potential test stages.
Academic preparation is important, but emotional and mental readiness is equally essential. A boarding school environment is different from a regular school, especially since students come from various regions and must live in dormitories.
Physical health is also a key consideration in the selection process, as students will undergo intensive learning and character development activities within the dormitory environment.
Prospective students are encouraged to have strong motivation and perseverance, as they will study away from their families.
They should already have a clear vision for their future, including their goals, career aspirations, and the steps they need to take during school. Students are expected to be more independent, disciplined, and have a clear plan for their future.
According to the school, the PT TIMAH Scholarship Class Program has had a positive impact. Since it began in 2000, the program has produced hundreds of alumni who are now working in various professional fields.
Some have gone on to work in government ministries, healthcare, engineering, and many other professions. Overall, many former students from the PT TIMAH boarding program have achieved significant success.
One current student of the PT TIMAH Pemali Boarding School program, now in grade 12, encouraged prospective applicants to make the most of this opportunity.
“Take full advantage of this opportunity. If you are accepted into the Pemali Boarding School, use your time to study and achieve your best. You are selected students who have passed many stages of screening among numerous applicants,” she said.
