NORTH KUNDUR -- PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance for medical expenses to Zahra (13), a resident of Teluk Radang Village, North Kundur District, Karimun Regency.
PT Timah Tbk handed over the assistance to Sarini, who is Zahra's parent, on Friday (17/11/2023).
Sarini's eyes looked teary because she was touched to receive assistance from PT Timah Tbk for her baby.
"It's like a dream," she said.
She appreciated PT Timah Tbk for caring and providing assistance to reduce her child's medical costs.
"When my child came home from school, she suddenly had a high fever and was given medicine, but the fever didn't go down, even if it came down, it only went down for a short time after taking the medicine, then it became hot again. So I took her for treatment to the clinic. After a week there was no change, then I took her for treatment. She went to RSUD Muhammad Sani Tanjung Balai Karimun, she also went to RSBT but he still hasn't recovered," she said.
As a parent, she said she was confused because his child had been sick for three months and had not yet recovered. She and her family have tried to cure their baby.
"Specifically, the doctor could not convey my child's illness, only said that my child had a blood infection. To ensure further confirmation, we were referred to a hospital in Jakarta to meet a blood and infection doctor and get maximum treatment," she said.
With assistance from PT Timah, they plan to go to Jakarta to continue Zahra's treatment.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Teluk Radang Village, Reni, expressed his appreciation for PT Timah Tbk's assistance and attention to their community.
"Hopefully this assistance can help reduce the cost of treatment and Zahra's sister can recover quickly," she hoped.
Likewise, the Head of North Kundur Subdistrict, Murnizam, expressed his appreciation to PT Timah who consistently continues to show attention and concern for the community.
"Hopefully the presence of the company in society can make a real contribution that can be felt by all levels of society. I invite all members of the community to pray together for better progress and sustainability of the company," she said.
