EAST BELITUNG - To reduce medical expenses for people who are sick, PT Timah Tbk often provides medical assistance to people in need in the company's operational areas.
Throughout 2022, PT Timah Tbk provided assistance with medical expenses for tens of people in Belitung and East Belitung Regencies with a total assistance of hundreds of millions.
The CSR program in the health sector carried out by members of the Indonesian mining holding MIND ID provides positive benefits for underprivileged communities.
In addition, this program helps the Government in handling public health.
The Head of the East Belitung Health Office Muhamad Yulhaidir appreciates the commitment of PT Timah Tbk which has helped pay for the medical expenses of the people in East Belitung, especially for people who are economically disadvantaged.
"This provides convenience to the community, so that treatment for people in need can really be carried out," said Muhamad Yulhaidir.
In the future, he hopes that this medical assistance program for people who are economically disadvantaged can be integrated with the Regional Government through the Social Service and Regional Government.
"We see that PT Timah Tbk in the future will prioritize human resources (HR) or Human Resources (HR), related to the community environment, health care whose aspects help a lot," he explained.
He also wants the medical expenses assistance program for people who are economically disadvantaged to continue. So that the scope is wider and more people are helped.
"Hopefully the budget can be added, this is really needed by people who need it," he said.
