KUNDUR -- To reduce medical expenses for the community in the company's operational area, PT Timah Tbk handed over medical expenses assistance to Anggun Saputri (7), a resident of Kundur Village.
Anggun Saputri's parents, Sarimah could not hold back their emotions when they received assistance from PT Timah Tbk's Kundur Production Unit for her baby who had lymph cancer, Tuesday (15/8/2023).
"As a parent, I would like to thank PT Timah for the assistance that has been given to us. God willing, we will use this assistance to pay for the medical expenses of our beloved daughter so that she can recover quickly," said Sarimah.
She said that her daughter is currently only able to sit in a wheelchair and lie in pain. At first, she only suspected that her child was just a normal fever. However, after undergoing a series of tests it was discovered that her daughter was suffering from lymph nodes.
"As parents, it must be sad to see a sick child lying like this, but we have to live everything and keep trying for his recovery," she said.
Anggun's medical expenses are not small, because she has to go through various series of examinations and treatments. However, they couldn't do much, because of limited funds they could only care for their daughter at home.
"After about 10 days of being treated, the doctor suggested that she be referred to Pekanbaru, which has more complete equipment. Due to currently limited funds, Anggun is temporarily being treated at home first," said Sarimah.
Meanwhile, the Head of UPT Puskesmas Kundur Barat Fakhrul Razaq appreciated PT Timah Tbk for helping to reduce medical expenses for Anggun.
"Hopefully things like this can continue to help the people around us," she said.
In the same vein, Yusufian, the Head of West Kundur Sub-District, said that PT Timah Tbk has consistently helped their community. This shows the company's concern for the community.
"Yesterday PT Timah Tbk just carried out free medical activities and is now providing assistance for Anggun's medical expenses. Thank you PT Timah Tbk for your support and concern for helping our community," he said. (*)
