BELITUNG - PT Timah Tbk handed over medical expenses assistance to Ayu Misranti, a resident of Paal Satu Village, Tanjungpandan, Belitung Regency.
Ayu Misranti has been suffering from tear gland disease since one year ago, after being treated at Marsidi Judono Hospital, and then she was referred to the Central Jakarta RSCM.
Ayu Misranti's parents, Maladi (67) said that Ayu Misranti had undergone various examinations. The treatment process is long and takes about 3 months in Jakarta and requires a lot of money.
According to him, while undergoing treatment in Jakarta they received assistance from the Belitung Regency Government for lodging and transportation costs, so he still needs a generous helping hand for medical expenses.
"The process is long because you don't go to the hospital every day, so it takes time there, especially since there are a lot of patients there," he said.
According to Maladi, while in Jakarta he first asked for help from his family, for their needs for medical expenses and living expenses. In addition, he also submitted a request for assistance to PT Timah Tbk.
"So I tried to ask PT Timah Tbk for help by submitting the existing files," explained Maaladi while shedding tears.
Maladi explained, after undergoing treatment in Jakarta until now he has returned to Belitung, and the child's condition has not shown any improvement. So they will continue to try to do their best to heal the child's eyes.
"So we will use PT Timah Tbk's assistance to cover the child's medical expenses while in Jakarta previously. If the child's eye health condition deteriorates, we will also return to Jakarta," he said.
