The grocery store 'Tuti' has been established in 2006, and it only sells snacks for children. However, his business is growing by providing a variety of staple foods and household needs.
Usfazi said, after becoming PT Timah Tbk's fostered partner in 2021, he and his wife who run this shop began to add shop facilities and infrastructure such as sales shelves, and window displays.
In addition to adding store facilities, they also add product variants that are sold according to the needs of their consumers. So that more complete can make it easier for consumers to meet their needs.
"Getting a capital loan adds to the type of sales. Then the building next to the shop is also added so that it can be rented again for other businesses. There have been many developments after becoming PT Timah Tbk's foster partner," he said.
According to him, the more types of products they sell also have an impact on increasing turnover which is twice as much as usual.
"Turnover has increased because now basic needs such as sugar, wheat, and others are also available, including rice and others. Turnover has increased quite significantly," he said.
He admitted, even though their business location is quite strategic, with many modern retailers emerging near their business it is a challenge in itself. Nevertheless, he did not give up and continued to try to provide the best service to consumers.
"Nowadays there are many supermarkets that are popping up everywhere, including near our shop. But God's provisions have been arranged, there are always customers who come, sometimes residents here, and sometimes people who pass through this area," he said.
For this reason, he hopes that in the future PT Timah Tbk's PUMK program can continue to help MSME players so they can continue to maintain and develop their business.
"This program is very helpful, administrative services are very cheap compared to other loans. It is very suitable for small businesses like us because it is very suitable, especially if we really use this to develop our business," he said. (*)
