Receives Livable House Assistance, Rahim Grateful that PT Timah Often Helps People in Need

KUNDUR -- PT Timah's efforts to improve the welfare of the community around the mine continue, one of which is by realizing livable homes for people in the Company's operational area.

Through the Community Development and Empowerment program, PT Timah helped build a livable house for Rahim, a resident of Gemuruh Village, West Kundur District.

Rahim, who works as a casual daily laborer, is grateful to receive assistance from PT Timah. He and his family can finally live in a decent house.

"I would like to thank PT Timah for the livable house assistance. Hopefully PT Timah will be successful in the future and continue to be able to give to people who cannot afford it, aamiin," said Rahim gratefully.

In carrying out the construction of livable houses, PT Timah involves the surrounding community so that it can have an economic impact. Having the ability as a handyman, Rahim was trusted to build his house.

Through this scheme, PT Timah Tbk not only provides decent housing, but also increases the income that Rahim directly enjoys to support his living needs.

Previously, PT Timah also handed over livable house assistance to Grandma Sumiati, a resident of Bangka Regency.

PT Timah collaborates with local governments, village officials, and beneficiary communities in implementing the livable house program. This synergy is expected to create a broader and more sustainable social impact.

This program is also in line with the sustainable development goals (SDGs), particularly point 11 on “Sustainable Cities and Settlements,” with the hope of supporting social welfare. (*)
