KARIMUN – To improve community health, PT Timah, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, has once again provided medical assistance to those in need.
This time, PT Timah extended support for medical expenses and accommodation to Lia (41), a resident of Kebun Pinang, Tanjung Batu, Karimun Regency, on Tuesday (February 4, 2025).
Lia has been undergoing medical treatment for a tumor she has suffered from for the past two years. She shared that financial difficulties and accommodation challenges forced her to pause her treatment.
"I have been suffering from a brain tumor for two years. I was referred to a hospital in Pekanbaru, which is quite far from home, and the travel costs for multiple trips were too high," she explained.
Expressing her gratitude, Lia thanked PT Timah for the assistance and hoped the company would continue to support the local community.
"I am so happy that someone is willing to help with my treatment, so I can continue receiving care. I am deeply grateful to PT Timah for helping me regain my health. I hope PT Timah will always extend support to the community here," she said. (*)
