Received Medical Assistance from PT Timah, Nurhayati: Day and Night I Pray for the Almighty to Provide for My Grandchild’s Treatment

PANGKALPINANG – Nurhayati (68), a resident of Pangkalpinang, couldn’t hold back her tears when she received medical assistance from PT Timah Tbk for her grandson, Marindra Alfarizi (6), who had been in an accident.

After the accident, Nurhayati’s grandson, affectionately called Gembul, was unconscious and has since been experiencing health issues. As a result, he still needs ongoing treatment. However, due to financial difficulties, they haven't been able to provide optimal care for him.

"Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to Allah SWT that someone is helping to ease the cost of my grandson’s medical treatment. At such a young age, he has to go through something like this," said Nurhayati.

Nurhayati explained that they had been facing financial challenges in providing outpatient care for Marindra. They could only take him for treatment when they had the money. She could only hope and pray that her grandson would recover and be able to live a normal life again.

"Day and night I pray for the Almighty to provide for us because his parents are struggling financially, especially since his father does not yet have a stable income. Once again, I am deeply grateful to Allah SWT for the help from PT Timah," she said.

Meanwhile, Marindra’s father, Satriadi (36), expressed his gratitude for the assistance from PT Timah. He shared that he often had to borrow money from friends to cover his son’s medical expenses.

"Alhamdulillah, thanks to this assistance from PT Timah, I feel immensely relieved. To be honest, every time I take my son for outpatient care or alternative treatment, I sometimes have to borrow money from friends," said Satriadi, also known as Gerubok.

The aid from PT Timah will be used for his son’s treatment, as he still requires ongoing care and it will take time for him to fully recover.

“The accident happened when my son had just returned from TPA (Islamic studies) on Friday night. We were very worried as he was unconscious. The most serious injury was to his abdomen, as several parts of his intestines were torn, requiring surgery. His condition has improved, but he still needs regular treatment and isn’t able to resume normal activities yet,” he explained. (*)
