EAST BELITUNG - The restaurant business pioneered by Melly Marliawati has experienced ups and downs. However, thanks to his perseverance and persistence. Melly was able to reap sweet fruit from her hard work.
Starting a business since 2012, it was temporarily closed and re-opened in the same year. It doesn't make Melly afraid to be able to continue her business.
This resident of Jalan Numpang Empat, Mekar Jaya Village, Manggar District, is determined to run his business because he really wants to work alone.
"So far there have been no obstacles in running the business, even though Covid-19 is still running smoothly," said Melly Marliawati.
His enthusiasm to grow his business continues to grow, especially in 2020, he received capital support from PT Timah Tbk through the Micro Small Business Funding (PUMK) program.
"I borrow to develop my business," he explained.
Thanks to this capital loan, he was able to develop his business such as enlarging his business location, adding business facilities and infrastructure.
"Before my stall was only made of wood, now I use a steel frame," he said.
He explained, the food he sells is a side dish or daily food. So that it can meet the food needs of consumers from various circles.
"The prices are cheap, sometimes officials also see side dishes here, and ordinary people," he said.
Melly employs two workers to assist her in running the restaurant business.
"My turnover is around IDR 2.5 million at least per day," he said.
He appreciated PT Timah Tbk's PUMK program, because according to him this program helps those business actors who want to develop their business.
"This program is very good and very helpful," he said.
