BANGKA BELITUNG -- BUMN Holding Mining Industry MIND ID continues to be committed to supporting the improvement of the quality of education and the development of the next generation of young people in the operational area to realize the golden generation 2045.
Concrete steps taken by MIND ID in supporting education include providing educational funding support for 108 students receiving the PT Timah Tbk Pemali Boarding School program at SMAN 1 Pemali.
In addition to providing educational funding assistance, MIND ID also provides MINDucation learning packages in collaboration with Ruang Guru for grades 11 and 12 in 2024-2025. MINDucation's 'Inspiration to Build a Generation of Future Leaders'.
This education fund support was handed over directly by MIND ID Deputy Main Director Dany Amrul Ichdan, who was accompanied by PT Timah President Director Ahmad Dani Virsal to the students at the Pemali Boarding School Building, Thursday (24/4/2025).
Previously, the onboarding of PT Timah's Pemali Boarding School MINDucation Program with Ruang Guru took place last year.
PT Timah's MINDucation Pemali Boarding School Program is an effort by MIND ID in collaboration with PT Timah to prepare students in grades XI and XII of the Pemali Boarding School Program at SMAN 1 Pemali to continue their education at State Universities both nationally and internationally.
MIND ID Deputy Mine Director Dany Amrul Ichdan, on this occasion, also provided motivation for students not to be afraid to dream, shared tips on running life, and shared inspirational stories for students.
“MIND ID provides gifts in the form of education funds for all younger siblings. And MINDucation to study at Ruang Guru so that you can prepare yourself to study at the best universities in Indonesia and abroad,” he said.
He also shared tips for students to be successful in life by applying The Power of Believe, The Power of Commit, and The Power of Legacy.
“Never be afraid to dream, hang your dreams as high as the sky. Now you have been facilitated with schools, infrastructure, technology, and insight. Everything means that you have to be much smarter,” he hoped.
Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Timah, Ahmad Dani Virsal, appreciated MIND ID for presenting an innovative program to improve the quality of PT Timah's Pemali Boarding School students.
“We appreciate MIND ID for presenting an innovative program for our students. We have special guests who can be an inspiration for students,” he said.
He explained that the Pemali Boarding School program was present in 2000 to address the problem of the high cost of education at that time.
“Then we try, how do we build a superior and dignified generation, by establishing training centers, developing human resources, and one of them is by presenting the Pemali Boarding School program. This is our effort to prepare the next generation of the nation,” said Dani.
At Pemali Boarding School PT Timah, students are not only focused on academic activities, but also mentally and spiritually educated, honing soft skills and leadership values.
One of the scholarship recipients, Dewi Fadilah Putri, said she was very happy to receive education funding from MIND ID.
“Previously, we had already received an education scholarship from PT Timah. With this education fund, we will save up to buy a laptop. Currently, we have been provided with a laptop from the dormitory, but later, when we want to go to college, we will have our own laptop,” said the student from Riau Islands Province.
According to Dewi, she has benefited from MIND ID's MINDucation program because they can access the Ruang Guru learning platform, which makes it easier for them to explore the subject matter.
