BANGKA -- In the spirit of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan, PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, through the Division of Engineering and Operation Excellence and the Sungailiat Timah Employees’ Wives Association, distributed 150 packages of basic food assistance to the community and 500 takjil packages to road users and mosque administrators on Friday (March 13, 2026).
This social activity reflects the company’s concern for the community while also serving as an effort to strengthen relationships with the surrounding environment during this blessed moment.
The basic food packages were distributed to residents in need, while hundreds of takjil packages were given to motorists passing by ahead of the time to break the fast, as well as to mosque administrators to support communal iftar activities at the mosque.
Through this initiative, PT TIMAH hopes the assistance provided can help ease the needs of the community while observing the fasting month and bring happiness to those who receive it.
One of the recipients, Marai, a resident of Air Ruay, expressed gratitude for receiving the basic food package from PT TIMAH.
“I am happy and grateful for the assistance given. This is also not the first time I have received help from PT TIMAH,” he said.
Marai also prayed that PT TIMAH would continue to grow and receive blessings so it can keep helping the community.
Similarly, Aziza, a resident of Kenanga Village, said that the basic food package would help meet her family’s food needs for about a week.
“This is the first time I have received assistance from PT TIMAH, and it is enough to cover our household needs for about a week,” she said.
Aziza also expressed hope that PT TIMAH will continue to prosper and keep supporting the community.
“I feel happy to receive this assistance and grateful because we really needed it. I hope PT TIMAH continues to succeed and achieve prosperity in everything,” she said.
In addition to being a form of social concern, this activity is also part of PT TIMAH’s commitment to continue being present and providing benefits for communities in the company’s operational areas. (*)
